I used Dosdude's Catalina patcher to update my Mac Pro 4.1.
Works fine so far but when I try to install command line developer tools, it aborts in the last part of the installation process.
Same goes for Intel Python distribution, also aborts just saying "Installation of components has failed".
Has anybody any experiences with this?

Figured it out. It wasn't even a problem with the patcher, it is a Catalina issue. Catalina offers to install versions of command line developer tools or even Xcode which are not supported on Catalina... weird. I had to go here
https://developer.apple.com/download/all/?q=xcode
to find an older version (12.4) of the developer tools and install it.
Everything works now : )
