I just bought a Mac Pro with 2tb drive, 24gb ram, ati 5770 video card, 2.8 quad core cpu, Magic Trackpad and apple Bluetooth keyboard for about $650. I was just wondering how powerful a machine it is and how many years I can expect to get out of it. I was going to get the bad model of the iMac (2015) but went with this machine instead. Think I made out better with the Mac Pro?

You use it for?
If your work can benefit from the cMP's multi core raw power, or from the GPU power (after proper upgrade). Then it can serve you many years.
However, if you mainly need high single CPU thread performance, then this machine may not be good for you in short future.
