Mac Pro 2010 PCIe slots: which is which?

Hi there,
Can someone advise, please? I know there are four PCIe slots in the back of my Mac Pro. For some reason (I find it counterintuitive), they're numbered from the bottom up. So the lowest PCIe slot (that I have my graphics card in) is PCIe slot 1.
I just put an Accelsior PCIe SSD card in the slot above that one... and I just want to make sure it's in the right place for the fastest read/writes.
I ask because somewhere I read that some slots are faster than others.

I believe any slot is fine for that card. It's only a 4x card.

Bottom two are 16x
Top two are 4x

If you can, put the accelsior in the x4 slot and save the x16 slot for something in the future that will take advantage of that slot.

I'm not a gamer.
I'm a video editor, though.
My three displays are connected to the card in the bottom (also 16x) slot.
So what are, or what might be, the possibilities?
