not long brought a mac pro 2010 and when i turn the computer on all the fans go loud in till mac os is started up and are the ati radeon 5870 fans always loud thanks loonboy

Happened to me once or twice, its common. I always reset the PRAM first before doing an SMC reset.

Restart your system and hold down (CMD+OPTION+P+R). Apple's link is below ..

its not a button, its a process of removing the power. REad this link ..
