Mac pro 2012

It has

• Two 3.06 GHz Six-Core Intel Xeon “Westmere” (12 cores)
• 64GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC SDRAM (8 x 8GB)
• 1TB HDD with your OS of choice (select from anything 10.6 up to 10.11)
• ATI Radeon 5770 1GB (includes 2 x Mini DisplayPorts and 1 x Dual-Link DVI port)
• One 18x SuperDrives
• OS X 10.11 El Capitan or OS of Choice!
• Wifi/Bluetooth standard.

For $1600. Currently I have Macbook pro 2013 late full upgraded version but it always overheating if I use photoshop and lightroom. Playing games such as SC2 is almost impossible in 60FPS. Well, all I need is the performance of desktop computer with better cooling system.

Few things I might worry about are

1. USB 3 and Thunderbolt 2 ports
2. Recent OS X(El capitan is fine)
3. Limited features for older Mac pro
4. Compatible upgrade parts
5. Mini display port for my current monitor(BenQ SW2700)

Do you think it is worth enough than iMac 5k full upgraded version?

Thunderbolt is not possible with Mac Pro 5,1. Recent OS X is no problem with Mac Pro 5,1 or flashed Mac Pro 4,1 to 5,1.

Ummm what do you mean? OS X will El Capitan but it doesn't support thunderbolt cause Mac pro 2012 too old for support those ports?

Are there any Radeon graphics cards since I want to focus on photoshop and other Adobe programs?

Yes, Thunderbolt is not possible with a Mac Pro 2012.

Some people here in the forum are experimenting with Radeon RX 480 and RX 470, look at those threads. Not full support yet. Nvidia Kepler cards have OS X and Nvidia web driver support, Maxwell cards only web driver support. No driver support for Pascal cards yet.

Well, I guess I should stick with USB 3.0 ports then. I heard that RX 480 and 470 damaged the motherboard since they require more power than the standard.

I wanna know what options does Mac pro 2012 have for CPU.
