Hi there,

Using a 2013 mac pro d300's 3.5 6 core etc...

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor, been using an asus PA248Q for 6 years or so and its been fantastic.

Id like to get a 27-inch 4k display budget is around 550 GBP

Can someone please explain what ill miss out on if I buy Ben Q PD2700U and connect it using an HDMI? I'm aware the machine is only pushing out HDMI 1.4. Is there a way to utilize the Thunderbolt 2 output to make use of the monitors 1.4 display port input?

The monitor is listed below on amazon - just make sure you click on the 27UHD option and the monitor for a designer bit

Thanks in advance all help and suggestions are appreciated.
