MP 7,1 Mac Pro 2019 and OWC accelsior 4m2 unable to setup time machine

Hello,

I am having issue with configuring time machine back up disk using OWC accelsior 4m2. To be more precise it is stuck on preparing disk for three days now and there is no other options expect to force quit.
OWC disk was formated in RAID 5 using softraid program that comes with OWC disk.

Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

For what it's worth, it seems like a waste to use a disk like this for Time Machine. I'd just get a large cheap spinner and call it a day.

I guess you are right but customer wanted to use it like that. Just to add that this is resolved. Disk was supposed to be formated in APFS format for Mac OS Big Sur.
