I have managed to upgrade my 2008 Mac Pro to catalina using Dos Dudes patcher however the graphics are less than pleasant. I only have the original NVidia GT120 512 mb gpu installed i've been planning on upgrading my card for a while now and was looking on some guidance as to which card would be the best for me.
I am an audio erson btw so I don't need any massive graphical power just enough to dual screen logi pro x without the timeline stuttering would be fine

I use a NVidia GeForce GTX680 w/ 2GB VRAM in 2 of my cMP's 1 is an orig. Mac Vid card the other is a PC Card I flashed to the Mac firmware in a PC. i also use a NVidia gt710 and a ATI Radeon rx560 PC Card w/ 4 GB VRAM i believe.
I think the ATI RX works the best in Catalina and the gtx680 the best w/ Mojave.
I have a lot of the Mac Pro's 1,1 , 2,1, 3,1 ,4,1 & 5,1 anyone else agree ?
