The picture you have posted stems from the ATI 3870 card. Sapphire did issue a Mac Edition card at that time. If you are able to chase one down in the Mac Edition version, you would have a flawless Mac card without the need of any modifications. The ATI 2600 card you mentioned was the stock card and even slower than the one in the above picture. What's neat about this card, - two cards of this type were able to use an early version of a crossfire adapter to allow higher speeds in windows and multi monitor support. For what application do you need this setup? If you elaborate a bit, we might be able to give better alternative options when it comes to your GPU choices on you Mac Pro.
