Mac Pro 4,1>5,1 10.13.6>Mojave>Catalina with RX580, black screen

Hello everyone,
On my Mac Pro 2009 4.1> 5.1,I was under High Sierra 10.13.6 and Sapphire RX580 Pulse graphics card, everything worked fine. I made the update following the recommendations of Dosdude. I went under Mojave. My RX580 does not display anything whatever the output used. I had to put a GT120 to have the display. I realized a clean install of Catalina (bootRom 144.0.0.0) following the method of Dosdude. Same, RX580 does not display anything. Everything works with the GT120. How to run the RX580 with Catalina? The recovery mode is not accessible anymore.

With the GT120 + RX580, no display via the RX580, only by the GT120. RX580 connected on the slot pci 1

I successfully Upgraded from Mojave 10.14.6 to Catalina without any problems except the Black Screen issue. Currently using a Gigabyte Z390m Motherboard with I5 9600k and Sapphire pulse RX 580 8gb. When i performed the direct upgrade, it just so happens i was using the Display Port on my Video...

I solved this by using InjectATI and specifying framebuffer as Orinocco, with number or ports set as 5.

Thanks, but my Mac refuse to access boot recovery and I can't SIP Disable.. How integrate InjectATI and Onirico?

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm also in the same boat. Upgraded 4,1>5,1 Mac Pro with 96GB of RAM.

I swear I had it working back in October, as a compute GPU for Resolve, but I am getting nothing from the Sapphire Pulse RX 580. No fans, no image, and nothing in the system profiler. It doesn't matter which slot I move it to, it won't appear. Using this cable from Amazon.

the current method is to use opencore.

Also why is your GPU wrapped up like that? the rx580 produces a ton of heat so that's really bad if it's not a temporary thing

I thought I blessed the drive for install with Dosdude's Catalina patcher. But then did the Opencore patcher so that I could get my 12 [dual 6]-core 3.46 tray to work. I don't think I fully blessed the drive because the EFI still said "Updates on" and never fixed it.

PS: The GPU was wedged temporarily in bubblewrap.
