I've 2009 Mac Pro with 2xNehalem 2.66GHz processors.

I've just tested GTX 660 (even EFI-flashed), GTX 970 and GTX 750Ti.

What I've found out – they work at nearly 2/3 of what they could be.

I've compared with PC results of Unigine Heaven and Valley test and get that it is so.

How can we get GTX-card works for the full power?

May be the trouble is in processor and upgrade 4,1->5,1 with 2x5650 Xeon will make the deal?

trust me, its mac os x. I ran cinebench with my gtx 770. It got worse fps then a HD 5770 on Mac. But on windows it crushed the 5700

Would you mind posting your Luxmark and Unigine Scores for 750 and 970 under Yosemite in their standard settings?

Thank you!

I've just made money back for 970. So I can only use 750Ti.

There they are:

LuxMark 2.1

Room – 448 Points
Sala – 803 Points
LuxBall HDR – 6243 Points

Unigine Heaven
Extreme 1600x900 8хАА – 558 Score 22.1 FPS

No, I'm using Yosemite.

Then you can't compare it to Windows tests since Windows Unigine defaults to Direct X which is faster than OpenGL.

Install Bootcamp with the latest NVIDIA drivers when then run Unigine at the exact same settings as the PC/Windows results you found. Then you can compare.

I'd never bothered to run Unigine Heaven on my 7950 equipped PRO in OSX, so I just gave it a whirl using my 10.9 boot. I'll run it on Yosemite tomorrow for comparison.

Unigine Heaven
Extreme 1600x900 8хАА – 772 Score 30.7 FPS

I'm sadly still running a plain 4X2.66, hopefully finally going to grab an X5677 4x3.46 soon. Given up on scrounging up enough for a 6 core for now.
