Hey guys,
I’m about to purchase a single processor board for a Mac Pro 4,1, and i need to know which part numbers i should have to search for! As we know there’s no visible difference between the two boards from 4,1 to 5,1 unless a part number that can reveal which board version is, a 4,1 or 5,1.
Thanks

Thank you @h9826790,
What about 630-9752? Is it a 4,1 board
Thanks

Google is not totally clear on that part number. Going from past experience when buying you want to be certain as I have a 4,1 tray sitting here that I bought believing it was a 5,1 according to the description. If you can get the SMC firmware version from the vendor then you can know exactly if it is the correct item as they are different for the machines. This is what needs to match or it will just have the fans blasting all the time on a mis-match.

Edit: Now I think about it that is spare doing nothing right now perhaps we could make a deal. Not sure on if you would want me to put up add in the marketplace or how to go about it. Let me know if you want to do it we will figure it out.

Actually, the Mac Pro is not powered on, as i’m waiting for some parts that i already bought: CPU, RAM etc...
Yeah we can make a deal if the price is affordable, it’s because i spent some bucks for the other parts.
As you know, there’s shipping things, i’m from Morocco! Ok, let me know how we can deal, when you want.

Shipping seems a little expensive to there, $135 CAD, and that assumes I have the weight correct. I just took the weight I found of the board and added couple of kilos for the box and packing. Then there is $2.25 for each $100 of insurance on the parcel. It does not list if tracking is available for that and it is surface delivery option so slow I would think. There is Xpress post International is list $240 for 6 day guaranteed delivery. If you wish we can discuss this in private messages.
