Mac Pro 4.1 to 5.1 help needed :(

Hi to all
Im Gonzalo , and I've got a problem ..... i cannot do the upgrade from 4.1 to 5.1 on a 2.26 8 core 2009
i did try all the usual but after restart in the upgrading bar status * firmware just jump and nothing , it just stay as 4.1
if anyone can help me pleas I'm willing o even pay for the knowledge

You should probably use an existing thread

And note that '"can" and "can't" mean different things and you need to be clear what issue is

I've been in almost all the threads but they are not my problems
I've tried the 4.1 to 5.1 even before changing the CPUs but nothing happens
Did apple changed something ??

Please use the search function, from memory, this topic was just discussed in less than a month.

Also, without your machines's details + what / how you do it. It's hard for us to tell you what went wrong.

Even though my personal guess would be you didn't put the required files on the desktop, but you still better use the search function.

mac pro 2.26 8 core 2009
first i open the tool (Mac Pro 2009-2010 Firmware Tool.app) i also open on the desktop MacProEFIUpdate.dmg then let it run after a few second it pop a windows asking to restart the mac holding the power button for a few seconds till it rapidly flush and made a long beep and the mac start with a progression bar for a split second and them goes of and restart t him self
after the mac pro restarted it still show as 4.1
i did and update cpu no long ago on a 2.66 2009 and was same method and it worked fine
