Dear All.
New here because, unfortunately, I have issues with my Mac Pro 5.1 2010.
I was away for 6 months and the Mac Pro was stored in its original box until I came back. This morning I tried to start it up and when it tried to boot up I heard a short pop and it went off. Now when I press the start button, there is absolutely no response. Dead. I did not do any further test yet because I don't think there anything I can do.
Is it safe to assume that the power supply blew up and I should simply go ahead and buy a new one? Or could it be something else on the back plate, mother board that would require deeper investigations?
Just asking to have an idea where to start.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
