Mac Pro 5,1 and USB keyboard issues after wake in High Sierra

I have been having issues with my non apple usb keyboard. I can wake the Mac Pro with the keyboard, but then after the Mac Pro wakes it loses connection to the keyboard, so I have to disconnect and reconnect the usb cable in order for the Mac to see the keyboard. Any ideas on a fix for this, it is driving me nuts.

Do you have an automatic screensaver turned on? If so, disable it and see if that helps. FYI, there are sleep issues in High Sierra that many have run into. Check some of those threads for specific tips.

I mean yes I'm having the other issue also where 10.13.2 won't wake from sleep with an RX580 but I edited the ktext and fixed that issue.
