So I had my 5,1 stored in a closet for the last few months and decided to take it out again. It was working fine before being stored.

Anyway I have no drives with MacOS on them so I threw a SSD in and made a Mojave USB(I went through the procedure to update everything prior to me storing it.) I usually use my FX 580 to get normal boot screens then after I finish what I need I’ll throw my Rx5700xt. However I’ve put my FX 580 in and zapped the Pram, and still cannot get boot screens or anything for that matter.

It does chime, but after that I get nothing. Tried using my 5700XT (in hopes I’d get some display after the initial boot) and nothing with that either.

TLDR: boots, chimes, no video. Tried two gpus(mac and non efi) no luck. Zapped PRAM 5 times, nothing. Tried multiple display cables, nothing. Reseated all ram sticks as well

Do you remember that NAVI support starts with 10.5.2? You won't have a display working with a RX 5700XT and Mojave.

My bad, used to have a RX 580 prior. But shouldn’t my FX 580 at least give me a boot screen? Always used to

Unless it's a macvidcards flashed GPU, no.

Btw, a NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 never would work with a standard install of Mojave, only a patched one. Support ended with High Sierra.
