Hello everybody!
Can someone explain me why i am getting lover Geekbench 5 scores on Mac pro 5.1 with max spec vs Macbook pro on M1 chip?
Score screenshots attached.
Looks like Geekbench 5 defines memory clock frequency 666MHz but when i am looking About This Mac tab it shows 1333MHz. Does it affect the test?

That's the result of 11 years of evolution and a real performance breakthrough with the M1.

Your scores are normal. If you need any consolation a 12c 2013 MP isn't much better and it takes a 8c 2019 MP to beat (just) an M1 Mac. In multi-core score because in single core the M1 is untouched.

You cannot compare GB5 and GB4 scores - different tests and different baselines.
Your MP5,1 hasn't become slower than it ever was - it is just that newer and better CPUs have been released since.
But be reassured that the classic MP are still the cheapest and easiest to upgrade in terms of storage and graphic cards.
