Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to delete the WiFi card of the Mac Pro 5.1 and instead insert an SSD apple with proprietary 8 + 18 pins ... I was wondering this because the connector where the wifi card is inserted seems to me to have 8 + 18 pins like some apple ssd mounted on the mac book retina 2012 models and mac book air 2012. and I also know it's a pcie connection.

I doubt however that a ssd even if connected in that slot can 'be recognized by the operating system.

Does anyone know how to enlighten me?

I don't know if it's possible, but even if it is, it's a 1x PCIe 1.0 connection to the south bridge, you will get less than 250MB/s, if you can make it work.
