Mac Pro 5.1 northbridge question on temp rating.

Okay I did the mod on my mac pro 2010 2.8 quad making it a 3.2 hex. My north bridge chip runs around 130 f . What are the max ratings for this chip? TIA phil

Since Nehalem, there is no Northbridge. I wonder what this temp actually is?

good question my iStat has had 2 number's for it one is about 99f the other 120f with lite duty. when pushing the cpu they both go up very little . When i ran the cpu test and maxed every core at 100% they stay about 100f and 118f. I pushed the cpu to 153f which is just under max.

then I ran the cpu test over with faster fans. the cpu never got over 140f and the 2 north bridge numbers dropped to 90 and 111. see link for the 48 minute test

Hard to say... It might be the Southbridge. Clearly iStat is just slapping a label on a register reading and there's no way to tell if it's a valid value or not. I wouldn't worry about it.
