Hey. So I have a mac pro 1,1 3,1 and 4,1 at my job.
Recently upgraded the wifi card of the 4,1 so we can get handoff/airdrop.

I don't want to buy another card for 3,1 or 1,1 if I don't have to. Don't need handoff for either machine, just want to be able to use the apple keyboard and mouse (since we already have extra sitting around).

Can I use the stock bluetooth card originally in the 4,1 and put it in the 3,1 or the 1,1?

No, wont fit

1.1 to 3.1 are the same

4.1 to 5.1 are the same
thank you. But also, I don't mind if it dangles. Do you know if the wire that it comes with in the 4,1 will be able to at least plug into the mother board of the 2 or 1,1?

No way, the early bluetooth moduls have a socket on the pcb, no wire.
ya, but so does the the 2009, it has a wire that leads from the pcb to the card. so if I take that same wire and plug it to the mother board then it might work. But maybe I should sjut try it and see. I wonder if it's the same shape, and I wonder if it happens to not be if the adapter would be cheaper than buying a whole new card

I give up…

those are completely different cards. A24FB729-AFC3-4128-8BA4-2DBA8BEB6B12.png
