I need an input from you guys about an Mac Pro 6.1 for sale at $1000.
Here are the specs:
MacPro 6 hexacore 3.5GHZ, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, DUAL D700 GPUS.

Should I go for it or pass on the offer?

I simply use it lightly at home.

Any input highly appreciated.
Thank you

That's not a bad price... for comparison, the cheapest one locally to me is 4-core 3.7ghz, 12GB RAM, 256GB SSD and dual D300s. Guy is asking the same price as your much more upgraded version.

Buy it now. Even if you won't need, you can resell it easily for at least $500 more.

Your potential usage is probably not as important a factor as the previous owners "inflected" usage. If this was used as a node in a highly active computational cluster then this may be a pass.

If previous owner moderately ( down to similar home Mac usage ... perhaps periodic longer gaming sessions) then more reasonable.

$1,000 and "take it as is... no warranty" then potentially could be buying a problem.

A detailed SMART report on the SSD might be an indirect approximation of usage time. ( could get time active and gage wear levels on the SSD. ). That isn't the GPUs but it could be indicative. If a completely random stranger that would be better than nothing. If seller is trustworthy then just ask what previous usage was.
