As the title says, I had a client with a 6,1 and a 4K LG monitor that was playing perfectly at 60hz, I had to reformat and upgrade the system to Monterey and now the monitor only work at 20-25-30 Hz refresh rate. I was told by the client that a previous tech had installed a program that fixed this. I tried switchResX with the exact follow up on their GitHub page but now it only displays 60hz only on (low resolutions) modes, that are very blurred even though the mode says high res numbers.
Anyone with a tip to get it working to at least 2K with 60hz?
Thanks!

And the cable was not changed? Normally this is a cable problem and the cable does not support 4K. Sure that the monitor runs at 4K before?

What type of cable is it? HDMI -> HDMI? MiniDP -> DP?

What ports does the LG have?

I think it is HDMI to HDMI, but I will know for sure on Monday when I will go there. I think they told me that it was like that before and was working at 60hz with switcheresX

If you use the HDMI port of the 6,1, it’s support only 30 Hz at 4K and no software can help. Only way is reducing the resolution.

If your LG has a Display port, buy a mDP to DP cable. „Cable Matters“ has a cable that working perfectly on my 6,1.

So, that's a limitation of the 6,1 HDMI and just checked it that it only support v1.4 protocol. Thank you very much! I was thinking that it must be something like this. Thanks for the heads up!

I just purchased an active mDP to HDMI 2.0 adapter for my 6,1 to connect an LG OLED48C3. Working at 60Hz.
