Hello to the community! I own a Macpro 7.1 with his Radeon pro 580X in MPX module. I would try to "upgrade" my video card buying an AMD Radeon RX 6900xt (the reference version of AMD no other custom brand like XFX etc,)
Users who did this upgrad can confirm that there are no problems with macpro 7.1? In particular we know that rx6900 uses pci-e 4.0 and mac pro logic board is pci-e 3.0 so are there problems?

Thanks to all for your replies. Now my only doibt is if i can keep bpth the card…the mpx module with 580x and the new 6900xt.

I have one in use , only can't work with the XDR derectly, the XDR must plug to MPX model

I have a Gigabyte RX6800XT. My monitor is the Apple LG UltraFine with only TB inputs. I'm using this cable with the Gigabyte card:


My MPX 580 is still in the Mac in slot three.
