Mac Pro 7.1 - CPU upgrade?

Hey guys,

any news about the possibility to upgrade the CPU by yourself?

It kind of looks like an easy upgrade, but my worry is the T2 chip...

From what I can gather from the video and pictures, it appears that the CPU is able to be removed fairly easily. I wouldn't worry about the T2 being the issue. The proper Microcode will need to be in firmware for processors outside the scope of what Apple is selling. Time will tell...
