Mac pro 8-core processor upgrade.

Hello.
I own a Mac Pro 3,1 8-core running at 2.8 Mhz.
Is it possible to upgrage the processors and if so what are my options?

You can, but for minimal gain. Better off getting a 4,1 or (preferably) a 5,1 and updating it.
