I cannot say there is a relationship, but since I purchased my Nvidia 680 from MacVidCards I've started to get some very undesired behavior.

At least 10 times my system will abruptly log out. One time I even got a kernel panic. I had never seen this abrupt log-out before and hadn't seen a kernel panic in forever.

I have heard so many things good about MacVidCards and his operation. I just don't know what to make of my problems.

When I run disk utility it seems to be mostly a relatively clean situation. TechTool has reported no issues and my system in other respects seems to run briskly.

Hi, sorry you are having issues.

Do you have an alternate OS installed that you can boot from?

Speaking of which, which OS are you running?

Did you get a 2GB version or a 4 GB version?

I have never heard of a bad card logging you out, but I suppose there is a first time for everything.

Typically a bad card shows artifacts or freezes or crashes.

10.8.4. My 680 has 4 GB. I updated the Nvidia drivers a few days ago, but had problems again right after that. I'm going to try to pay more attention to usage issues surrounding the "crashes."

If I post a log report from a kernel panic, is it possible to discern the possible relationship of the card and the crash?

Is there a section of the report that is most relevant so I don't post something two pages long?

thnx
