Hi,

Mac Pro 4.1 8-core with 128gb RAM

I have big problem with Mac Pro, yesterday in photoshop session the mac crashing and won't reboot. Chime and reset PRAM work fine but i don't have any video.

In the Mac Pro i have GTX 970, my first diagnostic is Nvidia Web Driver just turn off so i put my original GT120, but i don't have video too.

My diagnostic GPU LED : turn off so i don't understand. Motherboard is broke? I try my 4 PCIE slot without result.

What i try :
- RESET PRAM
- RESET SMC with HARD BUTTON
- GT7300, GT120, GT8800 APPLE
- HD5870, GTX 970 NO-APPLE
- TARGET MOD WORK FINE
- MINIMAL RAM (4GBX1)

Any idea? Thanks

Sorry for my english, im french guys :)

So, you mean after the PRAM reset. You remove the 970, and install the Apple stock GT120 back in, connect the monitor to the GT120. When you press the power button, the Mac do have chime, but display nothing, isn't it?

Anyway, did you check if the monitor / cable is working or not.

I think is the motherboard is just broke. The main board just can't recognize any GPU.
