I have a Mac Pro. To it I have connected my 24" apple cinema display and a TV.
I like to watch shows/movies on my TV from the computer.
I need to know how to turn off the apple monitor.
I've actually been searching for an answer for YEARS. But I gave up b/c when using most media players, when you make them full-screen on the TV, the apple display just turns black so it looks like it's off.
However, when you make Netflix (for example) fullscreen, the apple display stays normal. And now it's becoming an issue as I don't want the monitor on while watching the content on the TV.
I put the brightness to the minimum but that barely helps.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

By replace I assume you mean plug back in?

No I meant replace the Cinema Display. Plugging a device back in and replacing it with a different product are two completely different things entirely.

If the product you have does not have a power button and you need a product with a power button then replace your product without a power button with a product that does have a power button.

Wait for 10.9. It's been said it will work better with multiple displays.

Thank you! I'm hoping it will too.
