Sept 1 I ordered a Mac Pro Quad 3.0 CTO. Scheduled ship with Holiday, Sept 11, Overnite Delivery for Sept 12. Verified with Apple Sales Rep at the Apple Store Last nigt Sept 11, at 4pm PST. He put me on hold, verified that it was in shipping and was in Fed Ex hands once it left, but is scheduled for delivery today.

WELL... 7am this morning, Apple Store is down due to "It's Showtime". Call Apple Store, in 8 hrs time, it went from being in shipping to DELAYED until Estimated Ship Date of Sept 18. No one at Apple can give me a reason other than an apology. Did my Mac Pro fall off the loading ramp? The Manager on Duty told me they sent out emails to all customers about the delay... Didn't receive mine, stating that there was an unexpected delay?

Can anyone confirm what the delay may be? I have NEVER EVER had Apple miss a ship date, this is very unusual.

::snicker:: No, they had to ship everybody's machines that they ordered on Aug 7th, that they lost at the back of the warehouse first.

I just got off the phone with an Apple Store supervisor. My original ship date of the 12th (5 weeks after placing my order) is now the 18th with delivery the next day. They have received credit card authorization, but my card has not been charged. He could not explain why my order was delayed when others similarly configured have shipped, but he did give me $100 off the price for the inconvenience. :mad:

What is the deal man? I just got off the phone, and if you think your deal sucks, check this out.

Ordered Mac Pro on August 7th. Estimated ship date September 13th. Figured what the hell, patience is a virtue. MUST WAIT FOR XT1900. Meanwhile a few days ago, people start receiving their Mac Pros with same specs that ordered later than I did.

Flash forward today: My order status says "ACTION REQUIRED! PLEASE CALL US REGARDING YOUR ORDER AT 800-676-2775 EXT-55850. " I called them to find out what the problem is. They said that since the price of the Nano dropped, that I was getting a $30 discount! (Buying with 4g nano for free). I asked them to confirm that my order will be shipped today.

This is what he says, "I think it wont be ready till the 20th. WTF? And Ohh, the wallmount that you ordered takes 7-10 business days to get because it is from overseas. ( I ordered it on August 7th, and told them to ship when all items are available) I think he start to hear the frustration, so he puts me on hold for 5 minutes. When he comes back, he has NO IDEA where or when my items will ship. But tells me that he will work on it and email me.

I know everyone in here is a Mac DIEHARD, but damn man. As if the waiting over a month wasnt long enough. They did offer one item of assistance, at least they are going to overnight it for free. But in my book, its like hiring a horse and carriage to bring it to my house. Considering it will be here a little over a week late!

Ahh, the frustrations. Do you think people obsess over their dell order?

No email from the rep at all. Item did not ship on the 13th officially. My new estimated ship date is October 31stWTF?

any updates in shipping problem

ordered mac pro 3.0 on the 6th with a shipping date of the 12th. recieved no email saying that there was a delay in shipping. now apple is saying that it will ship on the 19th and arrive on the 20th. just like everyone else I can't get an answer! does anyone have any good news??

mine is/was supposed to ship 2day 9/15 and it still says not shipped yet - im bout to have my credit card cleared and fick apple ... keep ur shyt - been waiting since aug 11
