Hi guys :),
Since i got my Mac Pro 2010 i have had one issue.
When i eject/open the dvd drive. Upon the closing, the dvd slides back into its place. However that little flap which is covering the dvd 'entry' doesn't close up fully. I end up trying to tap it lightly to try and get it to slide up. It eventually does, but i don't like the fact it gets stuck, its not how it is supposed to be.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix this?
Thanks a lot :)

Thats really odd. My Mid-2010 Mac Pro doesn't do that - what happens if you use a finger and manually slide it down, does it pop straight back up or not?

when i manually press it down, so it has a reflex 'pop' upwards, it pops up but about 90% of the time up to the point where it stopped initially.. about 1/3rd up from the bottom of the hole. 10% of the time it works. But its something which shouldnt have to be done.

Could i do something to the entry?

Design flaw...no.
Individual flaw with your (and a minority of other user's) machine(s)...yes.

Thanks heaps for the link!
It's good to know i'm not the only one. In any case, i do not want to fiddle with my brand new (last week) mac pro unless need be. Living right near the flagship store of my state i''l pop in for repairs.

How long will the repair most likely take? is it done in-store or most likely shipped out? If shipped out it could take weeks.. right?
