Hey,
I recently acquired an Early 2008 Mac Pro, it has an issue where upon trying to power on the machine, the fans spin, it sounds like the hard drives spin up too, but there is no display and inside there is a diagnostics light marked ERRA. I have tried different combinations of RAM in different slots, replacing the coin cell battery inside, booting without the graphics card, swapping the CPUs between slots, booting without the hard drives installed, etc. The only thing that managed to extinguish the light was booting with only the lower CPU in place but there was still no video on-screen.
Any fresh ideas would be useful.
Thanks,
Daniel
