Hey there peeps,

I have asked a similar question pretty recently, but I thought I'd do a version of said question with a more complete description of my set-up so that anyone that answers can be properly informed.

My HDD set-up is as follows...

64GB SSD for my OS
1TB HDD for my audio SAMPLES
1TB HDD for my recorded AUDIO
1TB HDD for my HOME folder (which would normally be on the same drive as the OS, but when I set it up, I made it so that the OS referrers to the HOME folder on a separate drive; this one)

I have recently found that I need to upgrade the HOME drive, as It's filling fast so have bought a 2TB internal drive to replace it. My question is simply, given the set-up I have described, how do I transfer the contents of the HOME drive on to the new drive and then replace the old drive with it, without the switch effecting anything, so that I can carry on as normal, just with an extra TB of space.

Thanks in advance!

Dan

Simple copy contents of home drive to new 2tb then go into the System Preferences to change the location to your new home to reflect that transfer reboot to confirm it works ie. you see the house for your home account on the new drive. Once done you can remove the old files on the old 1tb and use that as more free space.. whatever you want to do with it really.
