Mac Pro How do I replace hard drive?

I need to replace the hard drive. It is slowly burning out, probably from too many hard starts. This is what I have.
Can you recommend product and brand I need to replace this. Not sure myself. Is it easy to replace as a DIY project?

Any 3.5" SATA drive will do. I recommend Western Digital Caviar Black. It is what currently ships in Mac Pros.

I recommend purchasing from http://newegg.com, they are a decent outfit with great prices.

Before removing the old drive, use software to clone the old hard drive to the new. Carbon Copy Cloner is a popular choice.

Caviar Blacks are way too noisy for my liking.

I just put in 4 3tb Hitachi Deskstars which are silent.

I would defo recommend an SSD also. I have 2 OWC Mercury Pro's which are blinding fast.

Do you have them in an external enclosure or something? Because my Mac Pro has the default Caviar Black and the computer is nearly silent. There is some slight fan noise, but no apparent hard drive noise.

My new Mac Pro came with a caviar black internally. It was really noisy - Search and write noise and constant clicking and whining. It sounded like a really old style drive from the 90's. At first I just thought it must have been the way the aluminium case of the MP amplified the sound and I was always going to install 4 new drives anyway. Luckily and to my delight surprise the Hitachi's were completely silent.

Maybe I had a duff one but I've read a lot of comments on these boards since, all saying how noisy it was.
