Just bought a used Mac Pro that has an AMD 6870 installed and I've connected it to my plasma as an additional display and for home theater via the HDMI port.

It works great for most things but when I sit down to watch a movie, the black levels are noticeably brighter than they should be. It doesn't look bad at all, but on my Pioneer Kuro Pro-151 what should appear completely black is now a dark grey.

I've checked the color profile and tried all of them to no effect. Also tried running the calibration tool in the System Preferences but could not fix it. Since this is not a standard Apple-issued card, there is no AMD utility for it that works on a Mac.

Any ideas? I'm really just experimenting, as I have a blu-ray and media player that takes care of most media, but I'd still like to get it to work properly.
