I have a 2008 3.1 Mac Pro running Snow Leopard; 10.6.8.

2x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon w/ 14 GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM

I am finally fed up with my system and need help from someone before I tear my hair out or demolish something and regret it.

It started about 3-4 weeks ago and it doesn't matter whether its connected via ethernet cable or the airport card, the connection is intermittent. Even though both of them show a green light and are connected, I still get intermittent connectivity with both. Safari, Firefox, etc. I have yet to test it with video games on the system, so it might be just the browsers.

I get problems with it loading Youtube, Pages in general, and downloading. And it is not the router or the network because the iMac and all four Windows-based Laptops are running just fine at full speed. It is solely my Mac Pro.

I have tried everything I can think of. We have had Comcast out here to redo all the lines, replaced the modem, reset the modem, etc and all the other systems are fine. I have tried deleting the Airport and re-installing it which I read on another troubleshoot page which didn't work. And again the ethernet is the same way. They both are getting intermittent connectivity.

Please someone help me cause I am about to lose my mind! The internet used to be blazing on this computer and now its dead or slow as a snail.
