I'm looking to go from 8gb to 16 in my Mac Pro. It was purchased last year, but I think it is the late 2009 model. The Apple part number is Z0G8. It currently has 4, 2GB modules installed. System Profiler lists them as DDR3 ECC 1066 MHz. Can someone help me determine exactly what kind of RAM I'll need? I know I'll need to replace all of the modules with 4GB sticks, but I just want to be certain of the kind.

Would this kind work?

if it is a 2009 mac pro that will work. that part number only tells if it was a custom machine . if you wait a minute I will send a link for ram at a better price
both links below should work

You should also try OWC and compare prices. I got mine from them and they've been 100% reliable ever since. The ones in the link look like they're missing a propper heatsink. Just my 5c

edit: uhh i guess u already looked at owc nevermind
