Hello,

My Mac Pro, crashed white screen and it's off while browsing a website. Since impossible to restart, black screen, no gong.

I opened the Mac Pro, removed the hard drive, the DVD burner.
After power on, the white led lights up, the fans turn.

The red LED flash on the processor board (normal).

The Diad Led button gives:

PSU MWROK: orange
5V STBY: green
what seems normal to me.

and

SYS PG: green
EFI DONE: off ...
GPU OK: green

This does not seem normal, the EFI firmware seems to detect a PB ....

A help ? complementary manipulations?

Thank you

You can have a defective GPU or a corrupted BootROM. Do you have another GPU to test?

Some Mac Pros from people here, six at least, got the BootROM corrupted around MP51.0087.B00. A corrupted/unbootable one has the exact symptoms you are having.

Thanks tsialex

If I remove the GPU board:

SYS PG: green
EFI DONE: off
GPU OK: off

I do not know if it is a normal behavior!
I do not have another GPU board for test, perhaps I can put in a PC for test?

For the BootRom firmware, is it possible to reflash? How I can do this ?

Thanks

Hello

I solved the PB with reflash BootRom firmware:
I put GPU and boot HD in the Mac Pro and push 5s on the PowerOn button. Waiting a few minutes and reboot automatically with Gong and video!

Thanks for your support.
