Hi all.
I got a new Mac Pro (Late 2013, 8-core, 32 GB DDR3ECC,FireProD700 graphics) running El Capitan 10.11.5 a couple weeks ago. It seems great but doing anything requiring an external device is extremely slow! I have a superdrive connected via USB3, a couple external hard drives as well (USB 3, both), but even network drives (we're running a gigabit network which on my PC is like lightning copying files). I'm trying to install Poser Pro 2012 from disc right now and it says 29 minutes to go---which seems the norm with this even saving files/reading files to or from the external locations.
It's been a while since I've worked on a networked Mac....is there anything I need to check in the prefs?
Thanks.
Jeff
