Mac Pro newbie requires help

Dear all,

I'm creating this topic in the hope that someone can help me. I have the ( pleasure ) of having some young family members around to help celebrate New Years with my family tomorrow and I have been asked to keep them entertained and as such I bought a computer game so that they can play. I simply thought I had to insert the CD into the drive on my Macbook and it would run just like it would on a normal PC however nothing is happening and Im wondering if someone may have a solution to my problem. Im wondering if I have to install it to my desktop and if so how as I'm still finding my macbook feet as it were

Open up the CD in the Finder, is there an Installer, if yes double click on it and it will get installed, might need User input.

Is this a PC game? It will not work on a Mac.

You need to get a Mac game.

Check out the App Store on the Mac, there are games there like Black Ops, etc. to keep youngsters entertained
