I have 2, 4 year old, Mac Pro Intel Xenons, purchased in May of 09. I am holding out till the new desktops come out ( hopefully soon ).

I never upgrade other then adding hard drives. One just stopped working after being left on for a few days so I went to restart and there was no chime. Fans went on and there looks like a red light is on inside, power light is on and monitor looks ready to go but that is dark with the power light on. I have let it stay on with the fan for half an hour, still no image on the screen or a chime. I have to hold the button down to shut down.

I read a few things...

- replaced the PRAM battery... nothing changed.
- unplugged for a while and re-plugged
- took out the video card to see if I would get a chime on start up... no but the monitor was not hooked up at all... I assume it would still chime if it were a video card issue.

I just need to keep this working till I get a new one later this year... any ideas?
