Mac Pro Tower. Attempting to add 2x2gb DDR2 FB sticks. RAM is not recognized in OS (factory 4gb). I added one stick to each RAM card. The current layout for each card is 2x1gb + 1X2gb. Do i need to add the the new RAM to a single card. Is there an installation order for fully buffered memory? Thanks.

I believe the ram has to be installed in pairs on the same card? I have 4 sticks on 1 card and 2 sticks on the other and they all show up and work fine.

The time it took you to make this thread you could have swapped the new sticks so you have 4 on 1 card and 2 on another just as I have mine. If it doesn't work after that, your new ram may be defective.

Righto, put them both on the same card and i now have 8 jigawats of RAMs memory, and it took exactly 9.178365 * the time it took post this.

Thanks.

So does that bring your mac pro up to 88 miles per hour?
