flowrider macrumors 604 Nov 23, 2012 7,344 3,025 Aug 5, 2014 #3 The stock RAM that came in your machine is 1333MHz rated RAM. The OEM 3.2 GHz Quad Core CPU (W3565) will only handle RAM speeds up to 1066MHz. So it isn't the RAM that's holding the memory speed back, it's the CPU. Lou
