I've done some googling on the matter but have not been able find anything helpful, so I thought I'd ask here.

A friend of mine is discarding some G5 powermacs (last generation before they switched to intel) and was wondering if I wanted the RAM from them (there's about 4gbs worth I think). Is this RAM compatible with my computer, which is a 2006 Mac Pro (mac pro 1,1)?

Nope, different stuff. I would still take the G5s though. If they work you can sell them on ebay. Heck, just the cases sell well.

Okay, I was wondering about the whole heat sink thing (I wasn't sure if it had that or not). I've got 7gb currently, so it's not like I'm wanting for memory right now.
