Hey guys...

Has anyone had there Mac Pro's mainboard replaced?
If so, how long did it take for the service tech to get the parts?

I'm at 18 days and counting. Apple is now saying that I'm looking at another 20+ days.

Have you asked to speak to a manager? Every week apple service centers have meetings that cover problem cases, make enough noise to get on that list. Get reasonably angry, point out how much money you've spent, call often, ask to speak to management, ask to speak to their management, ask for a replacement, make yourself a pain in the ass.

It's abusing the management that I always find makes things happen, don't waste it on the phone jockeys, save the good stuff for the people above them, they've got the power to make things happen.

Okay, they "escalated" the parts search...
I have to call back in 48 hours to see if the mainboard has been found.
If it's not... then I'm going to seriously through a fit. I'm NOT going to wait 30+ days to have a working 1394 port.

They held my TiBook for three weeks one time and never said apologized. Dell on the other hand sent me a new 30'' monitor overnight when I called and complained.
