I know I'm just being Paranoid but it didn't happend with my older Powermac G4. Sometime my Mac Pro just restart by itself for no reason. Does anyone else Mac Pro do this? It's still rather new. Got it for like 2 weeks. Anyone know why it does that? Couldn't be Software related. Havent install anything strange yet. I hope it's not a Hardware issue. First, my Mac Pro won't turn on for no reason now it's restart by itself. Is mine a defect?

So far I have reset the PMU. It restart on me today when I was in the middle of doing something. So I try resetting the PRAM. It havent restart yet, but I'm keeping a close eyes on it. Don't know if I'm going to take to Apple Retail Store or not, maybe if it happend again? I bought it online but I can take it in to Apple Retail Store right? It just I pay so much money for it that I would expect more qaulity from it. It make me quite mad when I just switch back from Mac to PC then to Mac again for good, thinking I won't deal have to deal with all this frustration and headache.

Really? I have an iPod connected to the Mac Pro. So maybe the iPod is doing it?

ipod

well then it would be really possible, i have 3 ipods that both do it when i disconnect them, the 5 generation ipod and the first gen ipod, i also got the 3 gen ipod but this one doesn't seem to have the same effect on my computer,
and again this only happens when i disconect the ipod from my computer when its turned off... but it only happens like 2 or 3 times in a month, so it doesn't really bother me ;)
