MP 1,1-5,1 Mac Pro RX580 Purple screen when using DVI to HDMI

I recently purchase RX580 8GB Graphics Card for my Mac Pro 2010 5,1. I need some help when i connect to DVI output i get purple screen. When I connect to HDMI I get slight pink tint if you look really close up. Is this the graphics card at fault or am i doing something incorrect when setting up. Please see pic when using to DVI.

It is like this on High sierra and Mojave. Please help if anybody knows a fix or advice I would be grateful.

You positive this is an ACTIVE adapter?

Some monitors have a color mode for RGB or YPbPr that can be physically switched in settings. Those usually are slightly more pink output, but could just be a bad color photo. This is a color profile change on the monitor itself, nothing to do with macOS.

I have tried different monitors and same purple image on dvi d using dvi-d dual link cable. I wondering if it is the card works fine on HDMI and Display Port.

I have the same exact issue with DVI under High Sierra and Mojave.
Any solution for this?

I had a similar problem when I switched to using a 43" 4K TV as my primary monitor. In my case, and possibly yours, the problem was that while the HDMI TV was expecting RGB input, the DVI output on my RX570 decided it should be sending YCbCr (it saw a TV instead of a monitor and decided it knew what was best). The symptom was a purple-tinted screen, not unlike OP's. The solution involved creating a new monitor profile that provided an EDID override to force RGB.

This blog post (not mine) is a bit out of date, but the methodology is still valid through at least Catalina, and the script is still available. Note that there are some updates toward the bottom that may be relevant.

I also discovered a workaround for this issue by using a Passive DP to DVI adaptor and the colors appear normal this way.
