Is there a way to have my soundcard spit out both speakers out of the back and headphones out of the front jack? I tried it and the only way I could figure it out was to actually change the settings. I know on the G5 and G4 you could just plug in headphones and the speakers would still work fine. Am I missing something?

I had the same thoughts, I liked how it worked on my G5. The MacPro, you do need to change the settings for the output depending on which you're using. Since I don't want to keep opening System Preferences, I just use Soundsource (freebie from rogueamoeba.com) to change it as I need to:

Really been a timesaver.

Sound source looks like it is what I need. Does it come in a widget or a program?
