I don't know what were the specs and prices of the 2010 Mac Pros but it seems that the 2012 iteration costs less. Can someone clarify what the model and prices changes are between the 2012 and 2010 models?

Much appreciated.

akadmon,
I'm in a similar situation as you (MP 1,1). Congrats on your purchase.

This time around I won't be hanging on to it for quite so long. I'm getting AppleCare for it (in about 364 days). I figure it will pay for itself in higher resale value when I sell the machine at the end of 2014.

Congrats on your new Mac Pro and good decision to get an AppleCare.
