I'm sorry for having to post this but I am at a loss advising a friend on the value of his Mac Pro.
His father passed away recently and he inherited the machine which he has no need for. He is looking to get a newer MacBook for portability as he is travelling soon and obviously can't lug around the Pro.
He has various peripherals, hard drives and a Time Machine that I can value along with a monitor that I believe is a 30" Cinema display, but I am waiting for him to confirm for me before I get a price.
The trouble I am having is with the machine itself. As they can be customised I can't be confident with what I find for sale being the same spec.
I know it isn't the most popular question to ask a forum for a value on kit, but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Even if it is to point me in the right direction to get a price myself.
I got my friend to send over the machines "About This Mac" which I have tried to attach, but it won't upload. What I have is that it has 2 x 2.8GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon processors, 8 Gb 800 DDR2 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB Graphics.
Thanks
