Hello everyone,
My Mac Pro seems to consume a lot of wired memory. This hasn't caused me any problems in terms of performance so far, but I'm concerned that something isn't quite right - I mean, 2.51GB of unmovable stuff hogging my RAM is just rude
Then there's my kernel_task, which is supposedly using 16,777,216 TB of 'real' memory. I should add that my Mac Pro regularly uses over 2GB wired memory even when the kernel_task hasn't gone loopy.
Up 2 days, OS X Server 10.4.8, 4GB Apple RAM.
Screenie attached.
